Overview

This adventurous 13-day journey takes you through the breathtaking landscapes of northern Pakistan, starting with your arrival in Islamabad and a scenic drive to the stunning valleys of Naran or Besham. From there, you'll venture deep into the mountainous regions of Hunza, known for its picturesque villages and snow-capped peaks. The itinerary includes a visit to the serene Borith Lake, a trek to the Passu and Hopper glaciers, and a thrilling ascent to Rush Lake, one of the highest alpine lakes in the world. Throughout the trip, you'll experience the rich cultural heritage of the region with visits to Altit and Baltit forts, enjoy hikes through remote mountain trails, and camp under the stars in pristine alpine settings. The journey ends with a return to Islamabad for a farewell feast before you head home, leaving you with unforgettable memories of nature, adventure, and culture.

Itinerary At Glance

  • Day 1: Home to Islamabad (International Flight)

  • Day 2: Drive (6hrs) to Naran/Besham

  • Day 3: Drive (7-8) hrs Hunza (2400m)

  • Day 4: Drive (1hr) to Borith lake (2600m), hike to Passu glacier, Duiker view point, overnight in Aliabad/Karimabad

  • Day 5: Drive(1hr) to hopper glacier, trek to Berichokore camp site (3300m) camp

  • Day 6: Trek to Chidin Harai (4450m) camp

  • Day 7: Trek to rush lake (4650m) camp

  • Day 8: Descend trek to Hamdar (3300m) camp

  • Day 9: Descend to trail head Hopper village, drive 1.5 hrs overnight in Hunza valley

  • Day 10: Excursion of Altit fort and Baltit fort, sovenir shopping, overnight in Aliabad/Karimabad

  • Day 11: Drive (7-8hrs) to Naran/Besham

  • Day 12: Drive (6hrs) to Islamabad, farewell feast in Islamabad, overnight in Islamabad

  • Day 13: Transit-Home (flight)

    Notes For the Trip

    1. Trekking level is medium-hard, average 2hrs, maximum 5hrs per day.

    2. You need to bring: good trekking shoes, light rain-proof jacket, backpack for carrying your own water and personal belongings and water flask.

    3. Road conditions vary in this part of the mountains. This may result in longer travel times. In case of unavoidable road blockage that prevents travel, we will be responsible for managing your lodging and food during this extra time. However, you will need to cover the expenses for the extra days.

    4. In case of domestic flight cancellations, you will be facilitated with a backup road travel plan.

    5. Any additional services beyond the itinerary or possible changes during the tour will incur extra charges, and these changes should be discussed with the guide beforehand.
