Itinerary At Glance

  • Day 1: Arrival Islamabad airport hotel transfer.

  • Day 2: Fly to Skardu airport (2230m), Sok valley excursion, pass along Safranga desert and visit Shigar fort, overnight in Shigar.

  • Day 3: Drive (6hrs) to Hunza Valley with stopovers at great mountain ranges Collision Point, Rakaposhi viewpoint.

  • Day 4: Cultural heritage tour of Baltit Fort and Altit Fort, Duiker viewpoint.

  • Day 5: Hike to Baskochi meadow, Gulmit village walk, visit carpet center, walk to Hussaini suspension bridge overnight at Borith Lake.

  • Day 6: Drive to trail head, hike to Passu white glacier, explore Cones, overnight Aliabad/Karimabad.

  • Day 7: Hike to Ultar water channel/meadow.

  • Day 8: Miachar meadow off road drive, experience Rakaposhi and Minapin glacier.

  • Day 9: Rest day and souvenir shopping.

  • Day 10: Drive on KKH to Naran.

  • Day 11: Drive to Islamabad.

  • Day 12: Farewell lunch, explore Islamabad, evening or next morning airport see off.

    Notes For the Trip

    Road conditions vary in this part of the mountains. This may result in longer travel times. In case of unavoidable road blockage that prevents travel, we will be responsible for managing your lodging and food during this extra time. However, you will need to cover the expenses for the extra days.

    Any additional services beyond the itinerary or possible changes during the tour will incur extra charges, and these changes should be discussed with the guide beforehand.

    If flights to Skardu from Islamabad are canceled, be prepared for a 6-7 hour road journey via Islamabad Naran next day 6-7 hour to Hunza.

    You need to bring: good shoes, light rain-proof jacket, multiple layers of warm and early summer clothes as you will be going in different terrains and weather condition regions during this trip, backpack for carrying your own water and personal belongings and water flask.

    You are advised to obtain a health insurance from your home country that covers your health costs in case you face any emergency situation.
