The K2 Base Camp trek takes place in the Karakoram Mountain ranges of Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan, a region is renowned for its stunning landscapes and challenging trekking routes. Situated at an altitude of 5,150 meters (16,900 feet) above sea level, you are required to possess adequate physical fitness and be properly acclimatized and to trek at such high altitudes. This 21-day itinerary with is designed for you to complete the K2 Base Camp trek with proper acclimatization, plus wrap up with a relaxing excursion of Hunza Valley. Along the trek, trekkers are treated to spectacular views of the Karakoram Mountains, including iconic peaks like K2, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrum. The route also passes through stunning glaciers such as Baltoro and Godwin-Austin. This trek of a life time offers not only natural beauty but also cultural immersion. Notes For the Trip
Road conditions vary in this part of the mountains. This may result in longer travel times. In case of unavoidable road blockage that prevents travel, we will be responsible for managing your lodging and food during this extra time. However, you will need to cover the expenses for the extra days.
It should be noted that trekking permits are not guaranteed for individuals who have previously violated mountaineering rules in Pakistan, as they may be rejected due to past misconduct or violations.
Any additional services beyond the itinerary or possible changes during the tour will incur extra charges, and these changes should be discussed with the guide beforehand.
If flights to Gilgit from Islamabad are canceled, be prepared for a 12 to 14-hour road journey via Islamabad Naran Hunza.
Money paid in advance for permits is completely nonrefundable in case of any individuals or expedition cancellation.
