The peak has alpine history and has been climbed a few times first time in 1991 by a Swedish expedition, later on by a British climber. After these two climbs the peak had been considered as a serious climb for experienced alpinists. After many years since then in 2025 a Czech climbing expedition made a successful ascent via a new route, and naming the route as “Eid al Adha Route”, as the final summit push was completed on the night just before the first day of “Eid al Adha” a major Islamic festival.
The Base camp logistics, climbing permits documentation and entire support for the 2025 successful was managed by Magpie Tours with best local guides from Hunza valley and support team alongside.
