Hunza peak (6270 m) is located in the Karakoram range in Hunza valley Hunza district and highly technical climbing peak. The formation of the peak is as it part of Ultar Sar peak which is one challenging peak as well in the Batura Muztagh groups of mountains. Both Lady finger (Bublimotin) and Hunza peak both dominate the skyline just above central Karimabad Hunza region one of the most popular touristic destinations with Base camp of the peak on a single day destination from the hotel accommodation.
The peak has alpine history and has been climbed a few times first time in 1991 by a Swedish expedition, later on by a British climber. After these two climbs the peak had been considered as a serious climb for experienced alpinists. After many years since then in 2025 a Czech climbing expedition made a successful ascent via a new route, and naming the route as “Eid al Adha Route”, as the final summit push was completed on the night just before the first day of “Eid al Adha” a major Islamic festival.
