Many trekking routes are still unexplored in the Karakoram’s, similarly the Muchuchish Base Camp (4000 meter) trek is one of the least explored trekking routes, and this trek has unmatched adventure to experience for trekkers looking for real wilderness. This trekking expedition will take you deep into the heart of Karakoram range in Hunza valley, to Base Camp of Muchuchishh Peak (7453 meters) at an elevation of 4000 meters surrounded by majestic peaks.
A team of Czech alpinists made multiple attempts of summit starting in 2020 and the team finally made a successful first ascent in July 2024 of this previously unclimbed Muchuchishh peak, logistics of all expeditions organized by Magpie Tours. Since then, the trek to Muchuwar valley has remained untouched, making it an exclusive journey for explorers.
This trek begins with a short drive from Aliabad to Hassanabad trail head, gradual ascend and crossing of the Shishper glacier with to Muchuwar valley direction. Along the trail you will camping at two camp sites for two overnights and you will be experiencing majestic views of Sangemar mar sar peak, Hachindar Chishh and surrounding snow caped landscapes. The campsites have traditional shepherd huts, high altitude pastures, glacial landscapes and star gazing nights will amaze you.
At reaching Muchuchish Base camp site, trekkers experience complete isolation moment of physical strength realization and peace surrounded by towering peaks. With enough time to rest and exploration the decent traces the trail back to Hotel Aliabad followed cultural excursion around Hunza valley and scenic road trip to Islamabad via Naran.
